Description

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at the Jessye Norman School of the Arts is a fun, rich, and fulfilling experience. Our volunteer opportunities include tutoring, events, gardening, classroom assistance, and more. Whatever your passion is, we have opportunities available for you to lend a hand and be part of the JNSA family!

Impact

JNSA serves 1200 students per year, including elementary, middle, and high school students in our afterschool, summercamp, and homeschool programs, as well as adults and seniors. When you volunteer to help with one of our programs, you are helping us further the mission of transforming lives through the power of the arts.

Requirements

All volunteers need to complete a national criminal background check and verification, Pro-solutions Child abuse prevention training, and JNSA volunteer training.

Please have two forms of ID available for onboarding. All volunteers will be given a full tour of the building.

Locations

Most opportunities will take place at JNSA - 739 Greene Street in Downtown Augusta Georgia.

Events and classes taking place in other locations in the CSRA will be noted on specific volunteer opportunities.
