Who We Are

The Child Health Program of the Georgia Department of Public Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents through prevention, early identification, care coordination, and access to essential health services. We partner with families, healthcare providers, hospitals, schools, and community organizations to support healthy growth and development. Through programs such as newborn screening follow-up, hearing and vision services, immunizations, and referrals to community resources, we strive to ensure every child has the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential.

What We Do

Child Health Services works to promote the health and well-being of infants, children, and adolescents through prevention, early identification, care coordination, education, and access to healthcare services. Programs support healthy growth and development by providing screenings, immunizations, newborn follow-up, hearing and vision services, referrals, and connections to community resources. The goal is to ensure children receive timely services that help them reach their full health and developmental potential.
